Reservations and bookings
By filling out our booking form, reservations and bookings can be added for future travel with Unicorn Tours. When your form is received, a representative will get in touch with you to define the events involving your vacation package and to confirm availability. All policies and booking conditions must be read through and fully understood by all guests who are participating in a future regular or tailor made tour.
A non-refundable deposit must be applied to each booking that will be 25% of the total sale price. One month before your Unicorn Vacation is scheduled to depart the balance must be paid in full. If you schedule a booking one month or less before the departure date, then full payment will be required for assurance of the booking.
If an individual books a tour(s) on behalf of one or more travelers, then they must have full consent and authority to have this step done from whoever’s name(s) appears on the booking form.
Cancellation
If an event occurs that causes a traveler to cancel their Unicorn Vacation within 7 days of the departure date, then half of the total into account the date of cancellation when we obtain a written notice by the traveler. A cancellation that occurs after the 7th day will have no refund available. Unicorn Tours does have the right to cancel a booking if a balance owed is not received on the 29th day preceding a departure. Travelers will be fully refunded of all expenses without future compensation if we take full responsibility in canceling a trip. A disruption that causes a traveler to not take a trip does not enable him/her to a refund of any kind.
Health and equipment
Our travel packages are accessible for all persons with good health, however they do not require an exceptional physical condition or any technical or special knowledge (unless indicated so), but the travelers must be geared up and prepared to offer a physical effort that will compliment and not compromise the tour that they are on. All basic items are provided by Unicorn Tours except individual items like a flashlight or sleeping bag and our tour guides will direct your tour from beginning to end. You are held accountable for advising Unicorn Tours or our tour leader of any known illness before our trip is scheduled to leave or perhaps as soon as you book your trip. If you are taking medical prescriptions of any kind, you must keep your medication with you throughout the entire tour and advise the tour guide. A traveler will be excluded from the tour if their behavior or physical condition, in any way, endangers the safety or progress of the tour. INDIVIDUAL TRAVEL INSURANCE IS REQUIRED by all travelers that should cover repatriation and also medical costs.
First aid
Unicorn Tours has first aid kits on all tours with the essential equipment needed in case of an emergency. All first aid kits and the contents there of surpass the requirements put forth by the French Red Cross Corporation and the Canadian Red Cross Corporation. Be advised that the first aid kit does not contain the supplies that are directly required in an emergency. Lotions, antibiotic cream, prescriptions, and all other products similar to these should be bought by the
traveler prior to leaving and must be kept with them at all times during the tour. The first aid kits provided by Unicorn Tours are not a pharmacy for the traveler.
Laws and authority
Each traveler must have all required certificates, permits, and a 6 month valid passport in their custody before they are set to leave on their trip. While on the tour, all decisions regarding matters that may put the safety or welfare of the passengers into harms way will be handled by Unicorn Vacation’s tour leader or representative, with no exceptions. Overseas exchanges, laws, drug policies, and customs of each destination visited must be abided by each traveler at all times. If any rules listed above are not obeyed or if a traveler disrupts the welfare of the travel group, then he/she may be asked to leave the tour by a Unicorn Tours representative or the tour leader without a refund.
Responsibility
1) We may perform in a few situations as the middle man when it comes to our travelers and such services like hotels, transports, local tour-operators etc. and we should not be confused with being the first one held accountable for that particular service provided and the circumstances surrounding that service. Unicorn Tours has the right to adjust the dates, schedules or routes of the tour before leaving or while on the tour upon information received directly or by means of a tour leader. When this type of situation occurs the traveler is not entitled to any type of reimbursement. Taking into account the nature of our tours, all travelers must obey the directions that the tour leader on behalf of Unicorn Tours specifies and let it be known that tour leader is not to blame for accidents, incidents, or bodily injury to any traveler as a result of reckless or irresponsible ideas and behavior.
2) Unicorn Tours is not liable for delays or cancellations that are brought forth by a transport company. Unicorn Tours will not be held accountable for damage that results from an act of the government, political strife, strikes, accidental acts, or harm to a traveler caused by illness, loss, injury, or discomfort.
3) A tour in progress will not refund a traveler’s expenses for early return or an unused part of the tour.
4) Blaming us a result of not supplying a service or benefit of the tour as detailed in the papers given to the traveler is restricted to the expense of that particular service good deed.
5) Unicorn Tours will adapt the schedule or course of the tour should technical problems, bad weather conditions, or unpredicted events arise. If, at any time during the trip, we feel it necessary to add more costs for safety purposes or for reasonable continuance of the trip, Unicorn Tours will do so and require the same amount from out travelers.
6) Unicorn Tours does not claim any responsibility for traveler errors or actions
Insurance
Each traveler and their possessions are traveling with Unicorn Tours at his/her own risk. An individual travel insurance policy is a booking condition that must be acquired by all travelers that covers individual liability, injury, medical costs including air ambulance, illness, death, damage or loss to personal items, personal accidents, cancellation of the trip, or a disruption that shortens your stay. IT IS REQUIRED THAT INDIVIDUAL TRAVEL INSURANCE BE POSSESED BY ALL TRAVELLING PASSENGERS.
